Shaminir is a fine, recently built, five bed roomed house which has been fully approved by the Irish Tourist ‘Bord Failte’. In the interests of safety and the comfort to all our guests Shaminir is a NO SMOKING guesthouse.

At Shaminir we have successfully combined modern facilities with good old fashioned warm and welcoming Irish family home feel… and we can also offer ‘probably the best view in Ireland’. Pets are very welcome at Shaminir but are not allowed in the house.

All of our bedrooms are complete with en-suite shower rooms and are tastefully designed and decorated with beautiful colour coordinating schemes.
Our collection of fine antiques will also delight the eyes.

We offer a choice of twin, double or family rooms – which sleeps 4 – and a choice of continental, ‘Full Irish’, or smoked salmon breakfasts.

Some of Ireland’s finest golf courses are in the area, including Killarney (3 courses), Waterville, Dooks, Ballybunnion (2 courses) and Tralee. There are also two excellent courses in Kenmare and many more.
All courses are very welcoming to every level of golfer and to ladies too.

Irish Salmon is famous all over the world. Naturally you may prefer to buy a locally smoked one, but why not try and catch one. Or consider a boat trip with deep sea fishing. All in the immediate vicinity of home…

Beautiful natural surroundings, a national park just a short distance away, lots of walks to suit all levels. Hill climbing may also tempt you.
All these have magnificent views in common and offer unique photographic opportunities.

Ireland boasts numerous pubs where traditional music is played on a regular basis. You’ll feel welcomed by the publican and his locals for lunch, tea or evening pint.
